Ji-chan

We lost Ji-chan today. He lived a full 98 years. Incredible. He lost his "battle" with lung cancer today. I quote battle because it really wasn't one. He didn't know he had cancer and lived each day to its fullest. Nakamura Yukio was an amazing, talented, hard-headed, well-respected man who loved to give the biggest bear hugs (something unheard of for a Japanese man). He loved the arts and made beautiful laquer pieces and glass pieces, he loved to sing, dance, perform, and be involved with Japanese festivals. 7 children, 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren. aishiteismasu.
